Offshore
The aura of marvellousness originally was connected to the offshore business – the establishing of regular islands on legs far out in the sea, populated by tough men with helmets and big gloves, struggling with heavy equipment in howling winds and huge waves – has diminished to some degree. Nowadays offshore has become a house hold word like many others in modern business life.

It is a little unjust. It is still marvellous that increasing quantities of necessary fuel is retrieved from such inhospitable sites.

ISC became the first Danish company allowed to participate and has since taken part in creating the conditions for producing the black gold.

The first assignment was the establishing of accommodation facilities on DAN-B thus letting off daily transportation of the men to a near-by ship for spending the night.

It was a worthy task calling for a courageous and exceptional solution carried out within the defined narrow timeframe.

Since then the assignments have been numerous and varying spanning from a drill platform I the harbour of Esbjerg to topside facilities on “real” platforms including all types of installations and process equipment for the production.

Besides that ISC has delivered a number of ingenious designs such as sliding of a derrick from the drilling rig to the production platform – and back again, the so-called skid-off/skid-back.

Or facilities for early production - the so-called Texas deck – making it possible to start production prior to installation of the permanent equipment.
And many others – look at the next pages.
