Airports
Through the years ISC has gained comprehensive knowledge and much experience concerning all aspects regarding the planning, construction and operation of airports.

An airport is a complicated machine where passengers, baggage, cargo and catering meet the aircraft and its crew and where a team of skilled mechanics has ensured the proper maintenance of the aircraft and a team of skilled air traffic controllers will organize safe maneuvering of the many aircrafts on ground as well as in the air.

The assignments have covered all the items that the passenger meets on his way from the car park to the aircraft, including check-in, security control, business areas, restaurants etc. and of course the structures and the installations of the terminal building.

The assignments have furthermore covered all the items that the passenger doesn’t meet, like the handling of the baggage and cargo in complicated conveyor systems ensuring the reunion of the passenger and his baggage after the flight.

The assignments have also included the hangars where the aircrafts are kept in top form and the flight control towers where the air traffic controllers reign.

Finally the assignments have included the facilities for the great number of technical functions necessary in a modern airport, such as repair shops for the many types of vehicles and garages for fire- and rescue engines.

The result of our work can be seen at many locations. Most noticeable in the airports of Copenhagen and Billund, but also in the other Danish domestic airports in Ålborg, Rønne and Odense as on the Faroe Islands, in Greenland, Sweden and Iceland.

So – if our reader is in the need for a complete airport – there is much inspiration to get at ISC, as illustrated on the following pages.
