Denmark’s first high-speed railway – the 60 km from Copenhagen Central Station to Ringsted, via the new train station Køge North – was inaugurated on May 31st 2019 by HRH Crown Prince Frederik.
Among the many guests a small crowd from ISC participated as well, as ISC has designed the 520 m long TP 30 Bridge, which with its spectacular innovative design is a significant part of the railway line. The TP 30 was awarded the 2018 IABSE Steel Structure Award in April 2019.
The TP 30, which leads the railway across the large motorway junction at Vallensbæk, is viewed by the thousands of drivers passing by every day.
On the pictures you can se the festively decorated VIP Train and HRH. Crown Prince Frederik with Banedanmark´s Construction Manager Jette Aagaard, who appears very satisfied with the new railroad.
