ISC has been involved as a supplier in Aalborg CSP’s project in South Australia. The project is a solar energy system that will produce renewable energy and fresh water for sustainable operation of 200,000m2 greenhouses.

The energy system is based on the “concentrated solar power” technology where more than 51,500m2 mirrors will collect and reflect the sunrays onto the top of a 122m high solar tower. The heat generated in this tower will be used for multiple purposes, including heating the greenhouses, desalinating seawater for irrigation and producing electricity.

ISC’s scope was to perform design calculations for the 122meter high solar tower, to complete wind tunnel tests as well as to do the reporting.

Design was finalized in July 2015 and the structure is ready for use in the second half of 2016.

Snekkersten, New Waterworks

ISC Consulting Engineers A/S has in cooperation with a team consisting of turnekey contractor Krüger, contractor CC Bruun Enterprise and Gottlieb Paludan Architects won the turnkey contract for the new waterworks in Snekkersten in competition.

FGD Plant, West Burton

At the West Burton Power station near Retford, Nottinghamshire, UK, ISC has prepared the entire design for all process structures in the absorber plant area for the implementation of a 4 x 500 MW Flue Gas Desulphurization Plant.

FGD Plant, Eggborough

In the period of 2002-2003 steel structures for a new Flue Gas Desulphurization (FGD) plant have been designed for 2 units at the Eggborough Power Station in North Yorkshire, England.

Cement Factory Obajana

For F.L. Smidth ISC has designed storage facilities for raw material and additives to the cement factory Obajana Cement PLC in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria, approx. 100 miles from the coast.

The Avedoere Plant 2

Avedoere 2 is one of the most efficient and environmental friendly power plants worldwide, and it is able to use up to 94% of the energy from the fuel. Avedoere 2 has a capacity of 585 MW el-powers similar to the power consumption in 800.000 homes and 570 MJ/S district heat similar to the district heat consumption for approximately 110.000 homes. The efficiency of the fuelled energy is 95 %.
