West Of Duddon Sands

The wind farm of 67 km2 will consist of 108 wind turbines each generating 3.6 MW. The substation contains 2 transformers totaling 389 MW and is located in the eastern part of the Irish Sea at 19 meters depth.

The energy generated from these is sent onshore to the Heysham transformer platform, from where it is sent further into the British electricity grid to consumers.
