Helicopter Platform - Bornholms Hospital

Bornholms Hospital has established a helicopter airfield with an associated stand and control room building directly connected to the hospital to ensure the possibility of transferring emergency patients to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen without unnecessary and possibly burdensome transshipment via ambulance. The helicopter airfield has been designed to receive the Defence's new large SAR helicopters of the type EH-101.

The helicopter airfield will also make it possible to receive patients who arrive by rescue helicopter for treatment at Bornholm Hospital, e.g., in connection with sea rescue tasks.

ISC has been responsible for the technical advice to project management as a total consultant in connection with executing tenders in a main contract and all supervisory work. In addition, ISC has prepared the EIA statement and the authority approval at the Norwegian Aviation Authority.

The engineering work has, among other things, covered all earth and concrete structures and sewerage. In addition, all electrical installations, which also include the flight technical installations at the heliport, so that it can be used for both day and night flights.
