Clean energy for 200,000 homes in Denmark
The Danish offshore wind farm, Horns Rev 2, has a capacity of 209 MW. The renewable energy produced by the wind farm corresponds to the annual power consumption of 200,000 households in Denmark.
Detailed design of topside and substructure We have performed layout and detailed engineering for the offshore substation topside and the four-legged jacket. ISC has assisted DONG Energy (now Ørsted) with the layout and tender documents for the accommodation platform.
General description of the project The platforms are located on a water depth of approximately 13 meters. The substation consists of a closed building housing the electrical equipment, whereas the transformer is located on the outside behind an aluminum windscreen. The four-legged jacket has a traditional layout with X-bracings. The jacket extends 28.6 m above the seabed. The piles are driven 30 meters into the seabed and are located within the four legs.
