Moray East
The Moray East offshore wind farm consists of three substations, which are to be situated 22 km off the north-east coast of Scotland.
Together, the substations are expected to have a production capacity of 950 MW.
Array cables (66kV) will run from the wind turbines to the offshore transformer platforms, where the power is transformed to 220kV. Then, the power will be exported to a new onshore substation at New Deer in Aberdeenshire and into the national energy network.
